Welcome to pledgeforapot

Thank you for visiting www.pledgeforapot.co.uk.  This project is a simple one.  Kirsty Badham will produce 100 bowls in order to fund a replacement kiln.  Your generous pledge of £25 will help towards this worthy cause AND you will get an enduring and unique work of art at an amazing price.

Just use the PayPal link on the left or if you prefer, contact us directly on the details above.

We will display your name on the Roll of honour as a thank you for your generosity.

Keep checking back here for progress reports.

Latest update

Well since Swine Flu took it’s toll, I have been unable to update the site, but there is some good news.   The Kiln is currently back at the manufacturers, and is repairable.  The repair cost is still huge, and we still haven’t raised quite enough to cover the costs, but I will be updating the pledge list over the weekend!

Over 30 bowls are already in the loop as it were, and with the kiln close to being returned, we should be able to start sending out the first batch of bowls very soon!  I really cannot wait!   Thanks again for all your help!

Sarah Brown lends a hand

Wife of the Prime Minister, Sarah Brown last night added her assistance to Pledgeforapot when she “Tweeted” a link to the website to her followers….over 800,000 of them!  A big thank you to Sarah, and to ALL of you for helping out so far.

Latest Update 21st October

Thank you SO much for all of your generous pledges.  We have sent photographs of the Kiln off to the manufacturers, and we are waiting for an initial assessment. The orders we have received will be produced in the order that we have received them, and we will be giving you a choice of the piece of work that you want.  They will be displayed on the site, and we will contact you individually.  Each will carry a limited edition stamp for this run of work.  A big thank-you to comedian Robin Ince for retweeting the plea for help…what a nice man!

We will keep you updated
